Fratelli master’s selection red and white wines

M/S Red and M/S White

The latest release from Fratelli Vineyards is the fruition of a unique collaboration between two stalwarts of the international wine world. Piero Masi, winemaker of 40 years’ experience and 58 harvests, and Steven Spurrier, internationally renowned wine writer and critic, are the M and S respectively of the new label. M/S Red is a fruity 60% sangiovese, 20% cabernet sauvignon and 20% syrah blend with ripe tannins and a long, savoury finish. The M/S white is 20% sauvignon blanc and 80% chardonnay. An amalgam of floral and fruity notes, it has invigorating acidity and a palate of yellow fruit flavours. Equally great as aperitif and food wines, Fratelli’s latest label – the brainchild of two international wine experts, developed from the Indian terroir – should be a staple on every restaurant wine list. Price Rs 1,170 each.
