Sip of the Day: Red Wine on Ice


Florence Fabricant of the New York Times notes that the notion of chilling red wine is gaining acceptance. So much so that restaurants often ask their guests if they’d like their bottle put on ice. Indeed, some restaurants like Ruschmeyer’s, a seasonal hotel and restaurant in Montauk, NY, even have a special section for chilled red wine.
