“The authentic snacks menu carries forward the legendary and authentic cuisine of the China Kitchen Restaurant. It is the perfect place to meet for a pre-dinner cocktail or to come to wind up a party. Given the intimate size, it is also a great place to have private get-togethers,” said a statement from the hotel.
There was a pleasant buzz around the place when we visited even though it was mid week. The last order is taken at 1.45 am. China Kitchen has specialist Chinese chefs from the different regions of Mainland China and the dishes are as authentic as can be.
The menu offers a range of Sichuan starters beginning with Sichuan cashew nuts and going on to Sichuan style bamboo shoots and crispy prawns. More substantial appetisers like wok fried tender loin and crispy pork ribs are a must have. And if you have a sweet tooth, you can choose from the entire range of desserts from the China Kitchen Restaurant.

Besides a good selection of sparkling and other wines, the Bar also stocks a collection of the finest malts, cocktails and champagne. Given the Chinese theme of the bar, you must ask for the signature China Village Mai Tai which is best paired with Lotus Fritters.
Champagne, apparently, is a popular choice and there are many fine labels available. The best known, Moet & Chandon Brut costs Rs 6500 for a bottle and Rs 1650 by the glass.
