The Calcutta Wine Club celebrated the first anniversary of the formation of the club on 17 July 2009 at Roxy, The Park, Kolkata, writes founder member, Peter Mitter.
Mr. Subhasis Ganguli, President of the Calcutta Wine Club welcomed Founder Members & Associate Members along with guests and dignitaries for this special occasion.
An anniversary cake was cut by the 11 founder members.
Ms. Anindita Sarbadacari, Secretary of the Calcutta Wine Club, made a presentation showcasing the monthly wine tasting and dinner events for members over the past year.
Four Seasons wines (Shiraz, Chenin Blanc and Blush Rosé) sponsored by UB were served to the guests along with finger snacks from The Park. The Four Seasons wines – all three varietals – were greatly appreciated by one and all.
Sonia Sehgal entertained the gathering of wine enthusiasts with her repertoire of jazz numbers. Everyone had a wonderful time and a memorable evening of tasting wine.
