Calling Wine and Food Professionals

ifde1.jpg The International Food & Drink Expo India arrives in New Delhi. Don't miss it. When: December 2-4, 2009. Where: Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Exhibitors from around the world, including Australia, Austria, Italy, France, South Africa and the USA are showcasing a diverse range of new to market products to Indian food, drink and hospitality professionals.

Supported by MOFPI - the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, the show will also
encompass three days of exhibition features including the Indian Sommelier Championship, where finalists will be tested at both theory and practical levels by an expert panel of judges from The Claridges and Oberoi.

On the 2nd December, a business forum will present and discuss the hot topics of the Indian food and drink industry. Topics such as the Commonwealth Games 2010: Opportunities and Challenges Faced by the Food & Beverage Sector, The Legal Environment and Regulations in India and The Changing Food Habits of the Indian Consumer will be examined.

Top speakers include: Mr Sanjeev Asthana, Chief Executive, Reliance Retail - Food Business, Mr Amit Lohani, Convenor, Forum of Indian Food Importers (FIFI), Mr Harshev Singh, Chief Executive, Reliance Dairy Foods and Mr Sanjay Sethi, Vice President - Supply Chain, Arshiya International Ltd

Guided Wine tastings will also be taking place, Wi-Not Beverage Solutions Pvt Ltd is the Official Wine Activites Partner. Magandeep Singh (India's leading Sommelier and Food & Beverage Consultant) and his team of professional wine experts will organize three days of creative tastings at the show, designed to demonstrate the variety of wines on display at the exhibition.

The Italian Trade Commission will also be organising live demonstrations and tastings at their pavilion. Visitors will be able to experience authentic Italian cuisine, prepared by chefs from the best Italian restaurants in New Delhi.

Other pavilions include The Indian Grape Processing Board, Sopexa, and SUSTA
(Southern United States Trade Association). A variety of international flavours and food
experiences awaits visitors!
