Of course, Hannes Myburgh's love of Pinot Noir and tenacious foresight in continuing with this temperamental variety has allowed the Meerlust team to keep focused on producing superlative wines. 2004 offered almost perfect conditions to make great Pinot Noir. A cooler than normal vintage, coupled with dry weather and very low yields all contributed to making this a wine of which we are very proud."
