Globus Wines to manage Haiko Supermarket's liquor category
Globus Wines, Part of Globus Vision Group has taken over Haiko Supermarket’s liquor category and entered into an agreement with Hiranandani Constructions, a leading developer in India to open further such exclusive high-end Wine stores across all its locations in India.
Since the liberalization of licenses in Maharashtra for Beer and Wine, Haiko was the first supermarket to have opted for retailing of Wines and Beers in the state.
Speaking from Globus Wines, Karan Jain, CMD and CEO commented ‘’this is in line with our expansion plans to set up high-end retail stores in India. We’re on track to open our 75 stores within the next couple of years. We are extremely thrilled to be associated with Hiranandani Constructions and look forward to offering a wide assortment of Wine and Beers to their community.’’
Globus Wines is the first wine manufacturing company in India to enter the Wine and Beer retailing business. The first Globus Wines store is already operational at Star Bazaar in Dahisar, Mumbai. Spread across 300 square feet and Haiko will be around 300 sq ft as well.
Globus Wines had entered the wine business with the launch of Miazma around 14 months ago.
