I was at the Château Palmer tasting held at at the Shangrila hotel in Delhi, led by M. Bernard de Laage de Meux, and what a treat! I drink so many nondescript wines in the course of my work that the taste of a great wine like Château Palmer recedes from the palate and remains only in the head. I can talk and write about it at length, but when you get an opportunity to actually drink it, it’s something else again. The greatness of the wine is inescapable.
