The Decanter French Fine Wine Encounter, A Photo Essay
| We were invited to attend a Decanter French Fine Wine Encounter on Saturday, February 24th 2007 in London. It was an opportunity to taste some of the best French wines in the world and talk about them with the producers. Blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec teased our taste buds throughout the day. |  |
The halls at the Landmark Hotel in central London were lined with literally hundreds of stands offering up different blends and vintages. Languedoc , Rhone, Bordeaux, Côtes du Rhône, Burgundy, Champagne they were all well represented. The event included special masterclasses where verticals from vineyards like Chateau Palmer were tasted. Find more in the next print issue of Sommelier India
The tastings including a Pichon Lalande 1975 and Angelus 1998. They were introduced by Gildas d'Ollone, managing director of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande and Hübert de Bouard, owner of Château Angélus.
