Yogesh Magar, Director, Magarpatta, who organized this festival is a self confessed wine enthusiast and wants to encourage the wine drinking culture in the city in the form of frequent wine festivals and events.

“We have a lot of expatriate guests who enjoy a glass of wine with their food. Besides the BPO and IT boom in Pune have added impetus to the fact that today people want to be aware of what kind of food and wine they should order when in the company of their western counterparts. Also people working in multi nationals have to travel abroad frequently for trainings and conferences. It makes sense that they want to know more about food and wines. Keeping all this in mind we decided to organize a wine festival here in Magarpatta”.

Guests were taken through the entire wine making process in the form of presentations. Wine lovers got an opportunity to taste a huge variety of wines. These wine companies offered a very special price to people who wanted to buy wines. Deccan harvest dished out sumptuous snacks and wine accompaniments such as achari paneer tikka, texas tacos with cheese sauce, assorted cheese canapés, murgh reshmi kebab and mutton seekh kebab.
