India Food & Wine Show a Success

The India Food and Wine Show was held in Mumbai and Delhi recently. As part of the International Food and Wine Show taking place at the Taj Palace Hotel from January 19-21, is ‘Vinitaly’. The exhibition showcases wines from 50 Italian brands and is the largest of its kind in the world and is held annually in Verona. It has now come to India.

It was interesting to see your article on wine show, but what was surprising u made it look like a italian wine show rather then ifow.As a promoters of wine in india u should have covered the wide area of exhibitors around the world and how can u forget our very own Indian stall of chateau Indage which was the only indian wine maker. All the picture u have shown were of italian exhibitor it would have looked better if u would have covered it all as it gives a reflection of your commitment to SOOMELIER INDIA AND NOT SOMMELIER ITALY.It was just a observation.Anyway cheers

Ajay,

Thank you for your thoughts, we appreciate the feedback.

We hope to be a friendly, accessible guide to the world of wine for Indians around the world and not necessarily just a promoter of Indian wine.

Yes, 6 of the 10 photographs pertain to the Vin-Italy component of IFOWS but this was largely because having Italy's very best wine makers visit India was big news and a large part of IFOWS as well.

However, at the same time we do talk about Indian wines on the blog quite a bit and in our print publication - a lot more than Italian wines and you'll keep seeing that.

Best,

Sommelier India Team

Though I agree that for this occasion it was okay to give more exposure to Italian Wines.
But I read your website to get information on Indian Wines as there are plenty other resources on the web for rest of the world wines.:)
Keep up the mix with a good exposure to Indian wines.
I am glad Ajay pointed this out.
