Australia’s wine pitch counters European criticism

The Australian wine industry’s veteran global promotion programme is going all out to help protect and grow $2.75 billion in exports and counter European criticism that its wines are too “industrial”.


The top six wine companies in Australia account for 75 per cent of their exports. However, there are 1,800 smaller wineries as well. Australia recently replaced France as Britain’s top wine supplier, according to AP-foodtechnology.
