|Pune recently witnessed an eager gathering appreciating Argentinean wines in the city’s latest Italian restaurant Toscana. Jagdeep Chowgule of Tittarelli wines along with Cookie Singh and Kirhan Chavan from Toscana made sure guests had a wonderful time sampling Argentinean wines with some great Italian food. The guest list was made up of an interesting mix of people from various nationalities including Belgians, Germans, French, Argentineans, Scandinavians and of course our very own Indian wine lovers.|
What was common between all these people is that all of them were serious wine drinkers. Everyone enjoyed the food and wines served to the hilt amidst interesting conversations on wines and their characteristics. Jagdeep Chowgule, Director Best foods & wine Impex took guests through each wine that was paired with some of the best food that Toscana has to offer.
Tittarelli rose was served as a welcome drink with bruschetta and garlic bread, the chardonnay with funghi ripieni (mushroom stuffed with garlic, lemon, wine n parsley cooked in the oven) and pollo Toscani, Syrah with Caesar salad and Insalata di monti (fresh tomato, ricotta cheese, green beans, spring onions, broccoli, basil and sun dried tomato with extra virgin oil and balsamic vinegar), malbec with carbonara de mare and Ravioli al pesto and Late harvest with Tiramisu.
